Cott Beverages Inc.'s Star PhytoNutrients Division Licenses Rutgers Cranberry Anti-Adhesion Patents

DUNKIRK, NY--(Marketwire - Jun 29, 2011) - Cott Beverages Inc., a subsidiary of Cott Corporation (NYSE: COT) (TSX: BCB), the world's largest private label beverage company, announced today that its Star PhytoNutrients division has licensed patents owned by Rutgers University from Gencor Nutrients Inc. U.S. patent numbers 6,608,102 and 6,720,353 cover among other things, the use of certain Cranberry extracts for urinary tract health and support, in products such as dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages.
